The Oklahoma Heismen (2005) Documentary

In 2005, I produced my first-ever film project—The Oklahoma Heismen—a documentary that ended up winning the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival in Hollywood.

The film tells the stories of the University of Oklahoma’s first four Heisman Trophy winners, and it’s narrated by none other than Ed Harris, a four-time Academy Award nominee. We dug deep into their lives and legacies, blending archival footage with personal interviews to create something more than a sports doc—it’s a tribute to greatness and grit.

This was the project that launched me into filmmaking, and it still represents what I love most about the craft: real stories, told with heart.
